I love so much about this! The way September is sitting with her feet crossed so we have a good view of her shoeless foot. I am also just in awe of A-L's coloring.
Indeed. He turned out much better than I was expecting! It's all well and good to say, "the color of old peaches," but how, exactly, do you mix that color with a palette of primaries? It's unfortunate that tubes of paint don't come in the shades, "Old Peaches," or "Embers of a Dying Fire." Besides, you NEVER trust a color with a fancy name to be what it claims to be anyhow. :P
Haha, especially if a tube of paint is called "flesh." For my A-L I mixed Cadmium Yellow Medium with Napthol Red to make orange, then used the Cadmium to make yellow splotches so his belly resembled a peach rather than just "the color of old peaches."
All I can really say is that, I DO NOT Envy the Judges in this... the entries are all so extraordinary that it's going to be VERY TOUGH to decide which ONE gets that uber-cool Box of treasures.
