All that is really going on in my life right now is sports, so here is more. Sorry to those of you that don't like sports! Kathy and I went to the Detroit Red Wings opening night last night. The game was all Red Wings. They beat the Anaheim Mighty Ducks by a score of 4-0. There was lots of fighting and Pavel Datsuyk, of the Wings, who isn't known for fighting, even got into it. The Ducks became very unraveled mentally by the end of the game and had 3 guys in the penalty box at the same time at one point. It was a great start to the 2010-2011 season for the Wings and Kathy and I had a great time.
In baseball, there were two playoff games today and two teams blew leads. The first was the Cincinnati Reds, who lost by a score of 7-4 to the Phillies in Game 2 of the NLDS. They had leads of 3-0 and 4-2, but blew it with bad fielding. That had 4 errors in the game! I would be livid if I were a Reds fan. They are now down 2 games to none in the series. The San Francisco Giants also blew a lead in the later game. They were up 4-0, but the Braves came all the way back to tie the game in the 8th and won it in the 11th on a homerun by Rick Ankiel. The final score was 5-4 and the series is now tied at one. That's all. Thanks to all of you who don't like sports for putting up with all of this!
