Honestly, the oncoming storm was a bit much in terms of drama. As if stumbling through dark woods running for your life under a full moon wasn't enough, it had to threaten to rain as well

[Dean pushes the door closed, pushing a chair against the door, and glancing around for more furniture to block the door, before pulling a shelf that looked like it had seen better days against the door. He took a few moments to catch his breath, wiping the sweat out of his eyes and doing a quick physical check. Fingers still intact? Check. Teeth still there? Check. Not missing heart? Yep.
After a beat, he moved to Bela, setting the on his shoulder down beside her.]
It took her a few seconds to register that he'd spoken, darting her gaze over to him after a pause. Oh, her arm. She glanced at the spreading red, wet and glistening in the low light and something roiled violently in her stomach. She didn't even feel it really but that was her skin, just laid open and-other than the usual childhood bumps and scrapes she'd never really been...damaged before.
She looked away quickly, world spinning a little as she slowly pulled her arm away from where it was soaking her shirt, eyes a little glassy as she blinked up at the barrier between them and whatever was outside.
[Dean makes a low whistling noise before turning on his flashlight, looking closer at her wound. Claw marks, deep, but not too bad. It'll hurt like a mother once the adrenaline wears off, assuming that thing doesn't kill them first. Dean reaches into his duffle, fidgeting around for a moment before pulling out his flask, pouring whiskey onto the wound to sterilize it.]
Now that brought her right out of the shock. The pain flooded black tenfold, seemingly setting her arm on fire as the alcohol dripped over the open cut. Bela yelped, snatching the limb back to cradle against her chest again.
She swore vaguely, feeling that wave of dizzyness that seemed to be threatening fainting. Well she'd never swooned in her life and she didn't intend on starting now, but nevertheless she swayed in her seat a little, biting down hisses of pain.
"You don't even carry a real first aid kit?" She whimpered in accusation.
It's usually crappy supplies, over priced, and a hassle. We go with what works. [Dean makes quick work wrapping gauze around the wound.] Don't like it, bleed.
"You. Are. Unbelievable." Bela muttered, letting her head flop back and she stared at the ceiling for a moment. It was dark in the unit cabin, and looked, and mostly smelled like it had been uninhabited and damp for the past decade. She would have been disgusted if she wasnt' already dirty and leaking bodily fluids everywhere.
"So that's what a kobold looks like...", she murmured, "...they sounded smaller in German
'At least you're honest...", she replied, unable to hold back a ghost of a smile, when he tied off her bandage, she drew her arm back instinctively, fumbled with a 'thank you' in her head for a moment....then refrained. She didn't want to admit to being his his debt this early in the evening.
You're welcome. [Dean makes a point to say it loud and clear, before moving to check the windows, peering outside.] Doesn't seem to be attacking the house anymore... probably lurkin' nearby though.
Bela shot him a unamused look that clearly said 'don't even think about it'. No that she was against the idea....in general. On her own terms. Somewhere clean and safe where she didn't need stitches and was scared half to death.
"Well if you pray to anything, now might be a good tie", she grumbled, listening to the first clap of thunder outside. Brilliant.

Let me check out that arm.

You'll live. It'll hurt, but you'll live.

Not everyone can live the high life, princess.

"That's not the high life", she grumbled, "That's bloody walmart." Before leaning back heavily against the back of a mouldering sofa.

"But they're nocturnal, and there's only...fiveish hours to sunrise", she mused. They might be able to wait it out.
