Seems like I only post an LJ entry when there's something important or exciting to say. This counts as both. *takes a deep breath*
I GOT A NEW JOB!!! ^o^
Starting in a month I'll be a teller for SunTrust bank. I originally applied to an open position in Fairfax, but that one ended up being filled so I'll be working at the Haymarket branch instead, but it doesn't matter to me at this point. I'm just so excited that I won't have to work at Uno's anymore. Not that I hated it with every fiber of my being or anything, I got along with most of the people there, but I just wanted making enough money. It was time for me to move on.
I've been looking for a good, full-time job for so long, I had basically given up hope. But now I'm renewed. I'll be work 40 hours a week with a decent salary, plus full benefits. I'LL HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE AGAIN OMG!! And even though the Haymarket branch is only 5 minutes from Dad's house I'm still planning on moving out once I've settled into the job and have saved up a bit of money. I'm one step closer to being on my own! Now I just need roommates... ¬_¬
So I'll be putting in my two weeks at Uno's tomorrow, even though my training doesn't start til March 22nd. I don't want to drag things out there, but I'm glad I can at least give them two weeks as a professional courtesy.
I have to be in Alexandria tomorrow at 9:30 for a drug test and fingerprinting (O_O), so hopefully I'll be able to get that done quickly so I can get to my lunch shift at 11 on time. *flail* Everything is happening so quickly! But I guess that's a good thing, right? Change is good.
