today i watched Pride and Prejudice with mah mutha, and guess what?
i liked it. oh yeah.
as a devout fan of the BBC production, i was all :\ about it, particularly Knightley, because... well there's nothing really wrong with her but Jennifer Ehle, man. come on.
but also as a devout fan of Sense and Sensibility (the movie), i figured Ang Lee wouldn't fuck it up. and he didn't. i suppose because of the chacterisation (which is really different to the BBC; the initial reason why i was touchy about seeing this) and the slightly different context (from what i remember), it turned out to be like watching a completely different story. so i was completely comfortable with it.
and i may as well face it, Keira is pretty fucking amazing to look at, although she is quite odd, she's captivating in a way [/lame]. but if we got in a fight, i could probably snap her like a chicken. anyone could, really.
and darcy. well. yeah, i was all funny over him, too.
i also cried a bit in places. it was so romantic. gyah. just wonderful. and hahaha, mr. collins. eeeeew. and mr. bennet was just perfect.
and bingley? OMFG SO ADORABLE. i wanted to wrap him up and take him home with me. and jane was fucking beautiful. damn.
(and because i cannot order posts properly) i saw the GoF trailer for the first time on screen, because i hardly ever go to see movies. but dudes, i must've missed a more updated version of it, because this trailer? knocked my socks off. and i wasn't even wearing socks. yeah.
they showed the quidditch stadium! omg! sporty! and the death eater masks!!!!1!1 eeeeeee voldemort!!! more script! more mazes! MORE CEDRIC. wait, i didn't say that last part. no no no. i'm not a crazy cedric fan! I PROMISE OMG.
but yes. i am excited.
