SEPTEMBER MONTH-LONG CONDITIONS
Weather: Warm. Weather is dry, with little rain. Nights are mild.
Flora: The wheat and wild oat growing in the Larder is getting close to harvesting time; it'll be ready mid-month.
Fauna: Two months after Mimic mating season, the caves are awash with baby Mimics. Careful - that fuzzy little bunny you pick up has a big surprise for you! Sandworm mating season has arrived - they're coming close to the caves, where they can be seen breaching the surface and their mating calls can be heard echoing through the night.

SEPTEMBER EVENTS SUMMARY
Mimics!: September 5th-12th
What: Confused by the Sandworm calls, the Mimics are wandering around areas they don't typically frequent. Reply direct to the event (thread-hopping encouraged) OR make your own post referring back to this one.
When: All-day, but may be especially active at night due to Sandworm activity.
Where: Centralia, but other caves are ripe for this, too. The largest concentrations will be in the Larder and radiating out from there. As the month proceeds, the Mimics will retreat back into their usual habitat (the Larder).

OCTOBER MONTH-LONG CONDITIONS
Weather: Generally mild. Windy days are common up Topside, and the echoes can be heard easily in areas where the cave roof is open to the sky. As the month advances, light, infrequent rains may fall Topside, filtering down into open areas like Centralia and the Larder. Nights are becoming cooler as the month progresses (70s and eventually 60s in the caves, close to freezing up Topside, by the end of the month).
Flora: It's harvesting time for the wheat in the Larder. If it's not collected this month, it will rot on the stalk. A wide variety of pumpkins, squash, and other gourds can be found.
Fauna: Sandworm mating season is at peak - they're now QUITE close to the caves, where they can be seen breaching the surface and their mating calls can be heard echoing through the night.
Watch out if you're in the Larder and Mushroom Kingdom: the sandworm calls are frightening the local wildlife, making them act up. Wild boars in the Larder have been seen stampeding, and geepies in Mushroom Kingdom are running and jumping all over the place. Both species WILL headbutt or mow you down if you're not careful! This is also affecting the hunting, making small game like rodents more difficult to catch.
Fishing: If you sail or swim out to the deeper, open-air portion of lake, you can find schools of tuna. Marlins, wahoo, barracuda, and smaller sharks can be found in the deeper areas, where the water becomes saltier. For those of you less lucky at fishing, you might also snag a bonefish.

NOVEMBER MONTH-LONG CONDITIONS
Weather: Generally cool. Windy days are common up Topside, and the echoes can be heard easily in areas where the cave roof is open to the sky. Towards the middle of the month, some icy rain may fall, including some heavier storms. Nights are getting extremely cold.
Flora: The wheat and pumpkins in the Larder are starting to die back, but there's a great deal of corn to be found. Nuts are quite plentiful. As if in response to the cooler weather, the fibrecloth trees are nearly doubling their output.
Fauna: As winter comes closer, there's frenzied gathering behaviour from many of the mammals and reptiles as they prepare to hibernate. Towards the end of the month, they'll start becoming scarce. Some species are growing out their winter coats - it isn't unusual to find animal fur from the summer coats on the ground.
Fishing: If you sail or swim out to the deeper, open-air portion of lake, you can find schools of tuna and amberjack. Wahoo, barracuda, sailfish, and cobia can be found in the deeper areas, where the water becomes saltier. For those of you less lucky at fishing, you might also snag a bonefish.

Weather: Cold, with nights regularly dropping below freezing. Frequent snow, beginning a few hours after sundown and lasting until just after sunrise. Topside, the snow melts in a matter of hours. In the open areas of the caves (Centralia, parts of Mushroom Kingdom, & parts of the Larder), a light coat of snow remains underfoot until midday-early afternoon, and some frost may be visible in other areas early in the morning. There are frequent aurorae at night. From the start of the month, as the planetoid reaches a particular point in its orbit, spectacular meteor showers can be seen.
Flora: As if in response to the cooler weather, the fibrecloth trees are nearly doubling their output. There's less vegetation in general to be found, and parts of the Larder may be only sparsely vegetated.

FEBRUARY MONTH-LONG CONDITIONS
Weather: Cold, but beginning to warm up a little towards the end of the month. Snow is becoming less frequent, and sticks for less amount of time. Some days are warm enough that it rains instead. The aurorae begin to decrease as periodic magnetic fluctuations begin to hit a downswing.
Flora: Most of the vegetation not found in places like the Gardens are hardy winter species. Towards the end of the month, vegetation starts to increase in places like the Larder.
Fauna: Small mammals and reptiles are still scarce, as are larger reptiles topside, but as the cold decreases, they're beginning to stir. Towards the end of the month, the first newborn Chocobos, Caterpacas, and Geepies begin to appear.

MARCH MONTH-LONG CONDITIONS
Weather: Mild, with cool nights. Some days are outright warm. Rain (both heavier showers and lighter drizzles) is frequent throughout this month. Towards mid-month, there are some spectacular thunderstorms.
Flora: Vegetation in the Larder starts to increase its numbers. As well, wildflowers are blooming everywhere that there's sun and water - Centralia, the Larder, and even parts of Mushroom Kingdom. Fruit starts to become common again.
Fauna: There's an influx of small mammals and reptiles as their yearly hibernations end. Many of the larger mammals, especially Chocobos, Caterpacas, and Geepies, have had their young. The local frog population have reached mating season - the results of that will be cropping up in a few months.

Fauna: Small mammals and reptiles are still scarce, as are larger reptiles topside, but as the cold decreases, they're beginning to stir. Towards the end of the month, the first newborn Chocobos, Caterpacas, and Geepies begin to appear.
Fishing: If you sail or swim out to the deeper, open-air portion of lake, you can find schools of tuna and amberjack. Wahoo, barracuda, sailfish, and cobia can be found in the deeper areas, where the water becomes saltier. For those of you less lucky at fishing, you might also snag a bonefish.

MARCH MONTH-LONG CONDITIONS
Weather: Mild, with cool nights. Some days are outright warm. Rain (both heavier showers and lighter drizzles) is frequent throughout this month. Towards mid-month, there are some spectacular thunderstorms.
Flora: Vegetation in the Larder starts to increase its numbers. As well, wildflowers are blooming everywhere that there's sun and water - Centralia, the Larder, and even parts of Mushroom Kingdom. Fruit starts to become common again.
Fauna: There's an influx of small mammals and reptiles as their yearly hibernations end. Many of the larger mammals, especially Chocobos, Caterpacas, and Geepies, have had their young. The local frog population have reached mating season - the results of that will be cropping up in a few months.

APRIL MONTH-LONG CONDITIONS
Weather: Mild to warm, with mild nights. Rain (both heavier showers and lighter drizzles) is frequent throughout this month.
Flora: Fruits and vegetables become plentiful in the Larder. As well, wildflowers are blooming everywhere that there's sun and water - Centralia, the Larder, and even parts of Mushroom Kingdom. Many mushrooms begin to spawn - beware the glow-in-the-dark ones!
Fauna: There's an influx of small mammals and reptiles as they begin to fatten up after hibernation. Many of the larger mammals, especially Chocobos, Caterpacas, and Geepies, have had their young. With the increase in wildflowers, insects such as butterflies and bees have become a common sight.
