Ganked from zortified:

I've made a list of 15 characters. You give me a prompt of the sort "1 and 5 go into a bar, who drinks whom under the table and why is 9 the one getting called for bail?" I will respond with a snippet of ficcet.

"Sorry," Janine apologized, as the waitress led them to a table by the grimy and fingerprinted window. "I've just never really been a fan of Indian, and the good deli is closed."

"S'alright," her companion assured her with a smug little grin. "I've been wanting to find out what the big deal is with New York pizza, anyway." Mickey picked up the shaker of Parmesan and turned it slowly, watching the shreds tumble behind the glass.

Janine glanced at the menu high on the wall behind the counter. "I think you'll like it," she said. "The pepperoni here's nearly as spicy as a curry, anyway. So - why did you want to talk to me, and not the 'Busters?"

"Let's just say that I understand what it's like to be the one left behind, when everyone else is out saving the world. Sometimes you understand the stakes better." Mickey glanced down at her hands, then back to her face, and continued, "Besides, Dr. Stantz is double my age, and I still don't know if I could keep up with him."

Janine allowed herself a giggle at that. "Okay, yeah," she agreed, "if all you want is the basic classification system, Ray'd give you a three-hour crash course. It's actually pretty simple - it's a logarithmic scale based on the intensity of a ghost's psychokinetic energy signatures." She slid her empty glass to the edge of the table as a waitress arrived with a fresh pitcher of water. "The problem is," she continued, "you'll need a detector, and I think you;ll have to talk to Egon about that."

Mickey smiled over Janine's head at the waitress. "Don't worry about that," he said, and for a moment Janine was confused about which one he was speaking to.

Martha Jones set the pitcher down carefully on the table next to them, and slid what looked vaguely like a folded model helicopter rotor in blue metal from her apron. "The question is, does this register intensity the same way one of your PKE meters does?" She held it out flat on her palm; the four vanes fluttered gently as she brought it near Janine. "What do you think, Ms. Melnitz?"

"I think," Janine said in a much quieter voice, "that we might want to calibrate yours against a known PKE quantity." The corner of her mouth turned up. "What do you say I introduce you to Slimer?"

"Sure, why not," Mickey groaned. "I've had worse on my jacket."

Martha glanced towards the kitchen as the door banged open. "But first," she announced, "your pepperoni and black olive is ready."
