My bike

I’ve owned my bike for 10 years, I bought it at a security auction for $35, and have probably put three or four hundred dollars into since, so it’s been a really good deal.

The other day I noticed my tires had cracked and since riding on cracked tires didn’t sound safe in my mind, I stopped riding and walked to work for a couple of days. I though about taking my bike to a new shop, since the place by my house lecture’s me about the poor state of my bike and how it has a hard life, since I ride it in the winter. In the end, I decided they have a good reputation and I can live with the lecture.

Once they looked at the bike, they found it needs two new wheels, and new cables and it will cost about $150 to fix and I’d probably get two more years out of it.

So maybe this is the time to get a new bike? I could get a bike with a frame that fits, and that would be exciting. It would also take time I don’t feel I have and probably cost at least double what the repairs would cost. Two more years is a good amount of time and it would mean I’d have my bike back tomorrow, instead of a new one in a week or so, taking into consideration time to shop and time to fuss.

How is it that in 10 years, I have never had anyone take a picture of me and my bike?
