No joke but as soon as bts stepped out I had to cover my ears you could tell who most of the crowd went for. They did amazing though I can tell why people say they are amazing performers haha. And I loved hearing the cypher live omg!! Especially since hat one had my favorite Jhope verse of all their songs. Ailee and rap mon were so cute too!! Also comment ahead of me mentioned juncurryahn and I think I've fallen in love with him??? The save me cover was so amazing to watch wow - and I just heard his story of meeting bts behind stage and I cannot stop smiling you could tell how happy he was.
Yep. No shade to the other performers but Day 2 of KCON NY might as well have been a BTS concert. (Which I really hope means if they ever come back to NY they hold their concert at the Prudential instead of the PlayStation Theater because I honestly do think they could sell it out. ) I was really amazed at all the performers though. After going to EXO's concert in NY and being so disappointed, I was beginning to think all Kpop performances relied on smoke ,mirrors, and close up shots to be entertaining. But all the KCON acts had really top notch and energetic performances. I died at Cypher pt 3 as well because although I figure they'd probably do something special since they were headlining, I had no idea they would pull that out! Even though I was really hoping for Baepsae, this was even better

*whispers* I was thinking the same thing (re: it turned into a bts concert) but I didn't wanna say it haha. But seriously the crowd went insane. Idk if you saw the ppl who were selling hitouches for bts for like 600 bucks?? It was crazy (I kept thinking if only I got a bts hitouch I could have made back the money I spent on the concert ticket...) I have no doubt they can sell out prudential if they ever have another tour. but honestly it was such a good lineup for both days that I'm glad I went.
I know for fact she gained at least one new fan (me) cause even if she was disappointed because her audio went out that was the highlight of day 1 for me (how she handled it) - and pretty much what everyone was talking about afterwards.
Yeah, I have to say that I came away from KCON NY ready to stan Ailee. I was so excited that she ended up singing Day 2 as well. She was so effortlessly charming as the host, and she continuously trolled RM to perfect effect. Vocal queen, etc. I was really touched hearing her talk about performing in her home state.
AAAAAAAAHHHHHH HER BGM GOING OUT WAS SO EPICCCCCCCCCCC. And she was so amazing adorable at her events (I was audience at her fan meeting thing)
And yes, people were shelling out cash for those BTS hitouch passes, and BTS anything to be honest. My friend who was mostly there for Seventeen got 60 bucks just for an audience pass to their fan meet (she honestly could of gotten a lot more, but since she doesn't care for BTS much, didn't see the value in it). Everyone was super thirsty for their fan engagements, I didn't know whether to be impressed or sad that people were willing to give that much money after already paying so much for tickets. The bartering for the engagement passes in general were no joke. Did you see that area where people were holding up signs for what they were selling/trading? Some people were there nearly all damn day
Me and my friend got pretty lucky lol - we were just standing around when a girl was checking hers - as soon as she got bts she said "oh this looks like it'll be worth something" (she was only there for mamamoo and she got 4 bts hi touches lol) so my friend actually bought it off her for only 40. Idk if you saw but one woman (we think it was someone's mom) was holding a printed out sign with like filled in blanks with what she had for bts - I felt so bad for her. I still couldn't believe all those ppl holding signs though and the ones selling online - it legitimately scared me at a point because as the day went on the going prices got higher (on this fb page the selling prices were so high and people were actually buying like - you're gonna see them in concert anyways? But I digress) Towards the end me and my friend were just collecting the audience passes for all the other artists though just to go inside with the AC - so I was at day6 and crush lol and they weren't as packed as bts was according to my friend

I know right like can I be as lucky as her - she was so nice though like she asked my friend how much she was willing to pay ;-; I really hope she managed to get mamamoo tickets too especially since mamamoo seems like the second most hot commodity the second day
