In-Game Character Information
Name: Zekk Peckhum (not a canon last name)
Series: Star Wars EU
Age: 18
Personality:
First off, Zekk is constantly tortured by his moral dilemmas. He has made a lot of choices in his past that brought pain and suffering to others, and it is not something he has ever quite forgiven himself for, even though he is beginning to heal. Because of his time as a Dark Jedi, he has done things to make up for it, including returning to his home country to help out with the evacuations. He also spent a very short stint of time as a bounty hunter, realizing that his morals made better choices for him than a simple paycheck, and he chose the high road instead of getting paid.
He also has a very strong sense of independence. Having been a practical orphan, he quickly learned, even with Old Peckhum looking out for him, how to look out for himself. He often spent days and nights away from home, or stayed by himself when Peckhum had work to do. Despite all of this, he was also quite bitter for not having what his closest friends had, and this bitterness and unresolved feelings helped lead him to the dark side.
He's a very loyal friend, often going out of his way to save them. And with friends like the Solo twins, he definitely had plenty to keep him busy, saving their butts from all sorts of forces trying to kidnap or kill them. Unfortunately, there is a time that this loyalty has failed him. After the death of Anakin Solo and seeing Jaina turn to the dark side, Zekk became uncertain. While Jaina was a very close friend, someone who he cared about deeply, he didn't feel strong enough to help her turn from the dark side without falling back into it himself. He left her.
Zekk also has an extremely odd sense of humor and a tendency to fanboy men he perceives to be very cool (such as the bounty hunter Bobba Fett and Kyp Durron).
Background:
Zekk was born in the country of Ennth, which is pretty much the crappiest place on Earth. Every eight years, the country goes through a self-destructive cycle, filled with earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
When he was nine, the country went through its cycle, leaving Zekk an orphan when his parents were caught in an earthquake. Rather than become one of many orphans waiting to return to Ennth, he instead crawled into the cargo area of a plane that was giving the Ennth refugees supplies. It wasn't until they were in the air that the young boy was discovered by the pilot, a man named Peckhum. Rather than bring the boy back, Peckhum decided to keep him.
Their place of residence, when not flying around as supply runners, was a little apartment in a large city where the Solo twins just happened to take residence. While Zekk was out tinkering on some discarded plane parts in the underground of the city, he met Jaina and Jacen Solo. The three, along with the twins' younger brother, became fast friends and had many stupid adventures that young children often to go through. He grew lonely and felt out of place, though, once Jaina had left him to go learn the ways of the Jedi and was then accepted, and even more so upon her return with her fellow young Jedi friends. The problem escalated at a state dinner hosted by the twins' mother, and by mistake, Zekk had eaten the floral arrangement, assuming that it had been the salad.
Dejected and angry, Zekk left quickly, but this was not to be the end of his troubles. On his way, he ran into a woman who was recruiting members for the New Empire, and upon discovering that Zekk had great Jedi potential, stunned and kidnapped him. This was the chapter of his life where he began to learn the dark side of the Force. Under his master, a fallen Jedi himself, Zekk learned that he could use the Force just as well as his rich friends, who had been hiding that they knew all along what Zekk was capable of, and that he could be taught and be useful. After defeating another apprentice, he gained the title of the Shadow Academy's Darkest Knight.
Through his master, and what was assumed to be the still-alive Emperor, the Shadow Academy led an attack on Master Skywalker's praxeum in the South American jungle. Many fought and many died. While there, he ran into Jaina, who did her best to turn him from the dark side. He refused, but he did spare her life, as well as many of the other students as he warned them of the bomb set in the praxeum's temple.
Zekk fell into a period of uncertainty after the attack on the Jedi Praxeum. He renounced the dark side, but after the pain and destruction that he had caused, he didn't feel like he could accept the Jedi ways, or the Force at all. Though his friends seemed to have forgiven him, he could forgive himself, and so Zekk left the Jedi behind to become a bounty hunter. After a series of highly unfortunate events, he realized that wasn't his path either.
He returned to Master Skywalker with Jaina and his friends, deciding to give the Force another chance.
Zekk was on the same mission as Anakin Solo when the young boy was murdered by pureblood wizards. He witnessed the horrid event, and also witnessed Jaina's descent to the dark side. Though it was a hard choice, he realized that due to his past, he could not help his best friend. Zekk left Jaina after she had gotten her revenge, unable to face the dark side again.
It's because of his desire to reconnect with Jaina again that he's decided to give Hogwarts a chance, coming in as a seventh year student.
Blood: Muggle
Preferred House: Slytherin, Gryffindor, or Hufflepuff
Why you think they belong in this house?
Slytherin - Zekk is ambitious. While he won't do everything that he could (as in, tap into the dark side) to obtain his goals, he will still do what is in his power to achieve them. He is also pretty cunning, thinking quick on his feet during tricky situations. He would probably also ask the hat to sort him into Slytherin so that he could be closer to Jaina.
Gryffindor - Zekk is also pretty heroic. He can be chivalrous and caring, and pretty much to atone for the things he has done in the past, he will do anything to help someone out.
Hufflepuff - On that note, Zekk is also extremely loyal to his close friends and very hardworking as well.
School Year: 7th
Quidditch Position: Chaser (he can be put on the firebolt reserves if there are no spots available)
Would you like the character to possibly get a higher position? Yes!!
