Trial Video!

Unfortunately one of the tapes that my mom used to record Faith and me somehow got messed up, which means I lost the video of our Saturday Jumpers run.  At least, I can't make it play on the camcorder.  That is a bummer because jumps are what Faith is all about.

BUT!  I do have the video of our first ever NAC leg and our second ever Regular course ( Read more... )

Agility courses [where to go] confuse the pee out of me. Zoran really loves agility, but I would never be able to remember what turn comes next! You guys look awesome though! I wish I lived closer, I'd love to come photograph you guys at an event!

Thanks! I am waiting avidly for the trial photographer to put the pictures she took up on her site. It would be great if she got a good one of Faith, but I am not holding my breath. She's not a very photogenic dog!

My brain seems to be able to handle the Novice-level courses with only one or two changes of direction, but the upper levels have way more twists and turns. If we ever get to that level, we might be getting lost on course periodically. :)

NO KIDDING. I get lost on Rally courses, and those are NUMBERED for crying out loud.

In APPDA we have the ground spray painted with arrows. I don't think it's going to save me when I trial!

I would still mess it up, I'm sure.

True story: at our last Rally trial, I missed TWO signs. My dog didn't- she slowed down and looked at me like I was an idiot for walking past them. Of course, I didn't notice THAT, either- the judge pointed it out to me later.

So are agility courses! The trick is that you have to teach your dog how to read. Then you just follow the dog.

Sadly, that's probably more realistic for us.
