hehe, I have a new icon.

With the 45-minute exception of having to suffer through another terrible Spanish class, today was a pretty amazing day.

- It's Friday
- I had three free periods today
- My mom picked me up early
- I bought a Costco thing of jellybeans
- I BOUGHT SOUL SILVER, OH YES
- And I'm going to dinner at my best friend Alyssa's house
- I've had my permit for a whole seven days

So yeah, pretty awesome day, right?

Nerd news:

GAH, OH MY GOD THE HUNGER GAMES MOVIE IS OFFICIALLY A GO.
(also, the last of the trilogy is officially named Mockingjay)

Right, so, I'm excited. Gross Twilight references aside, the movie is being put into production and Suzanne Collins, thank God, found a way to make sure she was attached to the movie, so it won't suck and die like Percy Jackson did.

YAY!

Also, there are six days until Fringe comes back. YES YES YES.

Right, so, I think that I mentioned that I marathoned the first season and a half of Fringe? And so now I have theories.

Maile's Predictions for Season 1.5 of Fringe:

1) Walter wrote the ZFT manifesto
After he was given a chance to see the actual text, he flipped his lid. He knew that it was written on William Bell's typewriter and he knew that the original was somewhere in the lab. Come on you guys.

2) Peter and Olivia are going to be cockblocked by Armageddon
Nine seasons of X-Files have left me jaded. There's no way that J.J. Abrams is going to give us the satisfaction of seeing them together. I'm thinking something along the lines of Peter and Olivia have a Significant Moment, and then Peter gets sucked into the alternate universe and, oh, hey, Olivia, since you have those nifty Cortexiphan powers, why don't you pop over there and find him? Last season ended with Olivia visiting Bell, so I wouldn't be surprised if dear ol' Pete gets a chance to go home at the end of this one.''

3) Moar sideburns
Walter was a pimp in the 80s, and I think that the show as a whole is going to take a nice long trip to the Department of Backstory. It's already been revealed that next Thursday's episode is going to be a flashback, but in addition to that I think we'll be seeing a lot more.

4) Liv gets a superpower
Puhhhhhhh-lease. We've seen the other Cortexiphan subjects develop into reverse empaths and pyrokinetics. "Hurr durr, Olivia, you were our most successful test subject!" Don't ask me what kind of powers she's going to get, just rest assured that they're going to be awesome.

5) New characters. New, important characters
Peter's mom. We haven't seen her at all. Now, correct me if I missed something, but I don't think she's dead.

So there you go, my official predictions for the rest of the season.
