Hi...I'm new. Last week I went to Hawaii, and had to take food pictures as part of an assignment for my Culinary Arts class, and I thought many would be perfect for this comm. I also added some other food pics I've taken previously.

A raspberry cheesecake my neighbor made me for my 16th birthday.

Shrimp chips?!

Swordfish on the left, Ahi tuna in the middle, and Ono on the right. Delicious fishes.

At the Kona Farmer's Market, they would cut open coconuts for people and you could drink the clear juice inside. This was where they were cutting the coconuts.

See?

Here's the enlarged sign.

Passionfruit (They call them Lilikoi in Hawaii)

I've never had pickled mangoes, but apparently they're very good.

Sugarcane...for sucking...

Glorious chocolate, in its rawest form.

Various vegetables, locally grown.

A bunch of bananas just lying on the asphalt behind one of the stands.

Solo papayas (the yellow ones)

Pineapple!

I've never had a rambutan...anyone know what they taste like?

These were the biggest avocados I'd ever seen.

This is the unidentified spiky fruit...anyone know what that is?

More coconuts.

I think these are some sort of potato...again, if anyone knows for sure, let me know.

avocados, bananas, coconuts, pineapple, cheesecake, passionfruit, papayas, chocolate, fish
