Michael Jackson

I know it's what everybody is talking about today, and to be honest even though I had tickets to go and see him I'd just been feeling frustrated about it, because I was looking forward to seeing him. Now, having got in from work, I've sat down a put a few songs on iTunes of his... It's actually pretty sad. I'm just listening to "Break of Dawn" which is one of my favourite tracks, and it's hit me that back when I was very young he was kind of an idol of mine. I know he steadily went crazy over the last 20 or so years, but he was still one of the greatest performers who ever lived, and a really talented songwriter too.

It just seems strange, because a lot of the time I hear of old celebrities who've died, and I don't really know what they were famous for. I know that Farrah Fawcett was in Charlie's Angels, but I'm too young to ever have actually watched it, for example. Now Michael Jackson, who I really admired when I was quite young is dead, and it's like another little bit of my childhood is gone.

Meh. Nevermind.
