£21.28

The government is talking about pumping £12.5bn into the economy by way of a VAT (sales tax) cut of 2.5%, from 17.5% down to 15%.

On a £1000 purchase, this saves you a WHOPPING total of £21.28.

I don't think that this will make any difference, or that the government has any clue what they're doing, but good luck to them.

In other news, I was out spending again this weekend. I've spent over £500 on winter clothes and stuff this weekend and last weekend, so I am doing my bit to fight the recession, and I've got some pretty good bargains, because shops are having to drop their prices and put offers on to get customers through the recession.

I'm going on holiday to Canada to visit Kay and Jen (and hopefully meet Sara!) in a few days, and I can't wait. I'm not anywhere near ready, but it won't take me long, and I have a good chunk of Wednesday to get things sorted.

I've also just discovered Squash. John taught me how to play today and I loved it. I am horribly unfit, so I'm now aching quite a lot, but I now have motivation to get properly fit, so I can beat John!
