My life as a couch potato

Disturbia (2007)
A teen living under house arrest becomes convinced his neighbor is a serial killer.

Started out great, changed pace midway through, and never recovered. Very predictable sequences especially in the latter half. I love Kale's bedroom posters though. And Carrie-Anne Moss is seriously pretty.

●REC (2007)
A young TV reporter and her cameraman who cover the night shift at the local fire station. Receiving a call from an old lady trapped in her house, they reach her building to hear horrifying screams -- which begin a long nightmare and a uniquely dramatic TV report.

This is a zombie movie that's less funny than it is really, really tense. The documentary-style filmmaking sets it apart from your usual slick Hollywood zombie flicks. Also the star looks like a young Heidi Klum, HEL-lo! Thanks for the recommendation mikhale!

PS: I recommend watching this before its Hollywood remake, Quarantine.

A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (2006)
A coming-of-age drama about a boy growing up in Astoria, N.Y., during the 1980s.

This isn't easy to watch. But the acting is excellent and the story unfolds beautifully.

Tropic Thunder (2008)
Through a series of freak occurrences, a group of actors shooting a big-budget war movie are forced to become the soldiers they are portraying.

Watched this at Glorietta with
Set and Mia. I'd forgotten how cozy their little theaters are. Anyway, Tropic Thunder is not what I expected; nonetheless it's a great laugh-out-loud film. They had me at Satan's Alley HAHAHA. And Set and I were wondering how they got RDJ's lips to look like that... Also, wonderful use of The Edgar Winter Group's "Frankenstein."
