DAY 91, Mid-day

May 30, 2012 21:03

The walk back to the resident wing where her room, and Bert’s room, were located seemed to take an eternity. She was aware Bert was not happy - the look on his face as they left the infirmary was proof enough. It was also hard to miss how close he hovered. But she wasn’t going to confront him about it now. A pair of guards trailed after them, close ( Read more... )

She looked over to Gisela and said with a slight smile, "That is alright, whatever you feel is best, I do not want to intrude any more than I have already."

He wouldn't deny he was quite happy to move into Gisela's room. He had a bit of stuff to collect (more like, pick up off the floor) from his room to bring in, but it wouldn't really be that difficult. "I guess. Gotta give me a few to get my stuff." Despite his enthusiasm, his tone was pretty flat. He was still worried about the Giselas working together. If the new one got upset and something were to happen - he might have to break his rule about hitting a girl. At least when Jules died, he could beat the stuffing out of Conrad. It did make him feel a little better, at least ( ... )

"Sure." Gisela watched Bert go with a sigh. She was going to give him the cold shoulder if he kept up with that behavior. Or yell at him. Something was going to happen. It would have been more time effective if she and Gise could gather up some clothes and supplies for the other while Bert cleared out the room. But Bert would probably have something to say about that.

...And so what? He could say all he wanted about it. "Come on," she said, starting toward her door. "Let's get what you need."

She looked at her twin...her sister and smiled faintly. "Alright...and Thank You Ma Soeur."

"You're welcome," Gisela replied. "What is, ma s... sour.. sewer? What does that mean?" She shoved her door open, and left it open for Gise to enter. Nothing had changed since they left it earlier that morning. She moved around the room, gathering the clothes Gise had arrived in, as well as various other items. Underthings, a pair of pants, a couple of blouses, another gown for sleeping as it appeared the one she was wearing needed a good wash. She even poked through her closet and produced a simple dress. She really wasn't sure what was her twin's preferred style. She added a comb to the pile, and one of her spare toothbrushes (when one traveled frequently, it was good to have spares).

"Would you like to change out of that?" she asked, pointing to Gise's gown.

Gise walked into the room. "Mais oui, I would like to change. Ma soeur means my sister." She looked at what Gisela was collecting. "Can I have my clothes, they match me, but do you have any heels?" She spotted the combs and pointed, "Ooo, I like them, can I wear them? Mes cheveux, my hair, is a mess."

Sister. Gisela smiled a little. She'd never had a sister. "Of course you can." She pulled Gise's clothes from the pile and set them out so the other could take them. Then she shut the door so they would have privacy. "I'll see what shoes I have. Help yourself to the combs."

It didn't take Bert long at all to get his things together. He shoved most of it in his suitcase and his laundry he shoved in a pillowcase he took from the pillow.

The wheels on his suitcase clanked along the stone floor, but he made it back to what would be his and Gisela's room. He liked the thought of that - a lot, but he was still weary about Gise. He hoped she was just making him uneasy for no reason and not crazy like Julia. But, regardless, she was still a bit dangerous and that worried him enough.

Seeing as the door was closed, he heard their voices within. He tapped on the door, not wanting to just barge in. He figured Gisela was mad at him for something since she kept looking at him with a bit of a glare, so he didn't want to make it worse. "Hey, the room's empty. I ran into one of the maids and she'll change sheets and stuff soon." She was also generous enough to take his pillowcase of clothing too.

Gise gently took the skirt and smoothed it out then shimmied into it pulling it up under her gown and zipped it up. She then took the sweater, seeing that it was now dry, and flipped it in the air. She pulled off the gown, being careful not to tug on her nipple piercings, and deftly slid into the sweater. She smoothed it down and moved it so it was positioned right. "I do not remember, was I wearing my underwear and bra when I came here? I do not always wear them when it is nice out." She asked Gisela. She then asked, "May I use your brush to clean up my hair before I put in the combs?"

“I’m sorry, I don’t remember,” Gisela told Gise. She hadn’t been paying much attention when they first met. She didn’t seem to have the articles in her room. “If I find them, I’ll send them to you. The brush is on the dresser.”

She moved closer to the door and called through, “In a moment! We’re almost ready!”

Bert leaned on the wall and waited impatiently. He had an armful of Gisela's books and he sat them on top of his suitcase. "Ok." He called back but he hoped it wasn't a typical girl moment. those sometimes felt like they took forever. Besides, she was new here, how much was there to pack?

Gise took the ribbon from her hair and brushed it quickly and smoothly. She placed the combs in her hair pulling it away from her face. She stood up and looked at herself in the mirror. "How do I look now?" she asked Gisela as she twisted around showing all sides of herself to Gisela and the mirror. "I think I am ready."

"You look fine," Gisela smiled. She gathered up the clothes and supplies she had collected for Gise and went to the door. "Let's get you settled. Maybe in the next day or so we can go into town and get you your own clothes and things."

She opened the door and looked out at Bert. "Sorry to keep you waiting. You can put your things inside now. I'm going to take Gise to her room."

She motioned for Gise to follow her to the room a few doors down. The guards who had come along with them were standing on the other side of the hall, and shifted position to the new room. They stood silently on either side of the door.

Bert nodded and watched them walk the few rooms down. He was relieved the guards were there and once they went into his old room, he picked up his things and took them into the room he was now about to share with the girl he really liked.

He did like the thought of that, even if he didn't like her hanging out so much with her twin. He kinda wondered if he'd even get along with the guy he looked like.

Bert kicked his boots off and flopped on the bed and flipped through one of Gisela's books. the pictures were kinda interesting. sometimes.

Gise opened the door to her new room. It was still a bit messy and she felt she should smudge it as well as clean it some. It looked like there were some dressers and a wardrobe. She walked over to the curtains and flung them open. They were a beautiful burgundy color. A cloud of dust rose and she started coughing. She opened the wide windows to let the breeze air out the room. She knew she was home and acted as such.

"Can you please place my clothes in the drawers and I can straighten up the room?" She said to Gisela. "I will eventually need strands of young cinnamon that I can weave into a broom. It will function as a protection that I can hang on the back of the door. And I will need a bunch of sage to burn and smudge the room, it will get any possible bad energies out of the room and cleans it. Plus I will need a broom to sweep out and cleans the room and something to beat the dust out of the drapes. Is that too much?"

“Sure.” Gisela put the clothes away as she would her own, and decided Gise was going to need more. The drawers were woefully bare. It would take time, but she was sure it wouldn’t take much to make the room more homey. She wasn’t really clear on why Gise needed the extra things, like cinnamon and sage, but she nodded. “I’ll see what I can do. I’ll inform the maids, and they can bring you anything you need. They’ll be along with fresh linens for the bed as well.”

“I would like begin training with you in the morning, so try to get some rest.” She waved from the door, and took her leave so Gise could get settled.

((OOC: Sounds good. Gisela has to go gripe at Bert. ^_^)
