Conversations butchered by long distance commercials.
I’ve spent countless evenings naming reasons
Why you’d ever keep me.
Smuggled photographs and old letters under your mattress-
Some splintered memories that you had kept of me.
I’m hooked on the irony.
There are worse ways to spend my time
Than to sit and think of you.
Impossible.
Too bad you’re beautiful.
Just so reckless with my heart.
Was it some ambition?
You’re so cavalier, lest you forget
You’re the one who left.
But never you mind,
Any apology would be a constant reminder.
All stars burn our bright but you just keep falling faster and faster,
Never crashing into me.
There are worse ways to spend my time
Than to sit and think of you.
Impossible.
Too bad you’re beautiful.
