nyc is exhilarating and exhausting. i love manhattan, although i know i'll probably never fulfill my childhood dreams of one day living there. i remember growing up in queens and being so excited every time we headed into the city. i love the crazy diversity everywhere.
last night we stayed in an apartment with an amazing courtyard in the hell's kitchen area. then we ended up in brooklyn, first in williamsburg, then in greenpoint where we stayed for hardly an hour at a bar called coco's. beth had a beer and then a flaming sambuca shot which sent her over the edge in 10 minutes. 20 minutes after that, we were in a cab headed back into manhattan for the night. lesson learned: don't let sweet girls from london pressure you to go ahead and try it because you know you won't be able to keep up.
the trip back to queens is always a trek and a half. i'm beat but tonight is my future sister in law's bachelorette party. it's official, i've got my ticket and everything: i'll be at hunk-mania (www.usahunk.com) on east houston st, so if you're in nyc, let's meet up. you'll know where to find me.
