As the brunt of the cold season approaches, I've been bitten by more and more static shocks.
... they kinda hurt.
And so one of these shocks must've sent a current through that gray matter up there and got me to think -- I know static shocks have been theoretically possible since the dawn of time -- but I wonder how long they've actually been prevalent?
... in yon olden tymes where here there be dragons and magick and all that fantastic-type stuff -- I really wonder if a simple static shock would ever have sent (or ever did send!) anyone to be burned at the stake?
