Lucky Charms!
Does anybody eat Lucky Charms anymore? I suppose it has been way over 20 years since I had a bite of Lucky Charms they're-magically-delicious cereal, but I can remember the kind of stale, sugary marshmallow charms that were in them and I can remember sitting there with the bowl full of milk, the charms floating to the top and picking out each one. I ate all the charms. I dumped the milk and cereal. I was done. I was maybe six or seven?
But my high school friend and his partner are coming to stay for a couple weeks soon and I asked them for a list of the basic groceries they need to survive and feel happy while here. On the list were Lucky Charms. Phil eats Lucky Charms and I am thrilled to know that he loves them still. Imagine has no idea what Lucky Charms taste like. He's lucky if I say yes to the fruit shaped, fruit juice sweetened, organic cereal in boxes and not in bulk at the health food store. Amazing that I feel guilty for not ever giving my kid Lucky Charms!
