Dusty, dusty, dusty.

Did some more yard work today. Before the snow two weekends ago, the lawn look pretty good for that time of the year. Since the snow, the wind blew any leaves remaining on the trees onto my lawn. Well being lazy as I am, I decided to get the lawn mower out and deal with them that way. Having the mower set for mulching did nothing to the leaves. Having it side discharge simply shot the leaves all over the place so that meant putting the grass catcher on. That sucked all the leaves up, or so I thought. The leaves and grass were ground up into a nice fine powder and went right though the catcher bag and onto me. After over an hour of mowing, I could have put all of the clippings into a water glass. When I got inside and saw my face in the mirror, I looked like a coal miner after a hard days work in the mines. Now I need to find the proper fertilizer to put on the lawn.

Earlier today I went to take photos with a water theme. I went to see some crew (rowing races) I saw Princeton University's men heavyweights against the US Naval Academy. I hadn't watched a crew race in 25 years and I live 10 minutes away all my life. Carnegie Lake doesn't have the races like it use to since the US rowing team moved to the new and much better place a few miles away. Members of the US Olympic team still train there but the big stuff is at Mercer Lake these days.
