The Rambles, Heard They're Goin' Round

i've been lying awake for nights now
trying to sort out the things i can't see.
i've been trying to fake my eyes out,
so they think that i'm asleep.
but i see, so clearly i see.
i'm wondering what will happen
if ever i were to never wake up from that dream.
that is the thing that seems to elude me.
i wish that things maybe could be different.
i wish maybe it could be a change of scene
but hey, that's just me.
i'm saying i alot and maybe
i'm just being selfish in that way.
but maybe, it may be
not just keeping me up in bed.
the rambles, heard they're goin' round,
it's possible for an impossibility.
i wonder how the mediterranean is this year.
they have the coolest of the coolest houses,
at least that's what i hear.
i hear there even the bums out on the beach
are really bella, oh yes indeed.
but hey so is life in all its finity.
so let's give it up for confusion, k?
and maybe we could convince jimmy to play.
with even the stars coming out to play,
even though the first one might be false.
well, we've got nothing but time,
so let's wait for one more to be sure.
maybe all those hopes won't crash.
maybe one will rise again,
turn out true to be.
reminiscent of the ocean and a princess' ring
that once was lost at sea.
maybe, just maybe.
you wait and see.
'cause we could all use a little more room...
to live.
