Old Johns with deep pockets

It's funny how when I first got into this business, my biggest fear was that I would get a prehistoric fossil as a client. Now, my face lights up when they are. One of my regulars is Steve. He's about 75 and has probably spent close to 20k on me. He sees me almost every week and I always look forward to it.

Old men are easy. It takes so little for them to nut. And when they do, all they want to do is to tell you their life story. Steve has an interesting one. He was good friends with Abby Hoffman, the anti-war activist and according to Steve, he would be a Trumper due to the massive hate boner he would have for Biden.

That brought a smile to my face. Back in my 20s, I would have never thought Trump would be the lesser evil. But he has yet to aid a genocide. My bar for presidents has gotten so low, it might as well be in hell.

Yesterday, I had a client with another pensioner. Like Steve, he was white and in his 70s and came quick and also wanted to tell me about his life story. He told me that democracy is dead and he can't wait until he is too. Not to be morbid, but as soon as he said that, I knew he would be a good tipper.

On my way home, I listened to the audiobook, "The Last Mrs. Parrish". I think anyone who has a Spotify premium account, should give it a listen. Freida McFadden stole the entire plot for her best seller," The Housemaid". I don't know how she got away with it but I figured the least anyone could do is buy/read/listen to The Last Mrs. Parrish by Live Constantine because that deserves to be a bestseller far more than anything Frieda writes. I can't stand when frauds like her become successful and I hate that the world we live in makes it so easy.
