Home Stretch
Waddling has given way to lumbering as I count down to baby #3. Three more weeks until the due date! I jumped a last hoop on my way to a homebirth with a state-certified midwife when I met my back-up O.B. It was the first time I've ever spoken to an O.B. (Thank goodness my blood pressure reading was beautiful! I should not have to step foot in the hospital again barring actual emergencies). First impression was he seemed very friendly toward midwives, but definitely not someone I would want as a care provider.
Happy to be past the 37 week mark (I'm now deemed "at term" by the medical powers that be) so no danger of needing to transfer for pre-term labor. I am so ready for this stress and anxiety-laden pregnancy to be over! I fantasize about my old midwife in NH flying down for my birth. How I miss her... (How I wish she would fax my records already! Geez.)
I regret that I haven't enjoyed this pregnancy more..
