Heigh ho heigh ho, the all new 7D on Disney Channel!
Being big Disney fans, we were really excited to attend the exclusive preview of The 7D, Disney Channel's latest Original Animation series, at Eat Pray Love Café recently.
The brand new series is loosely based on the 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs by Walt Disney Productions. It takes place in the whimsical world of Jollywood, where Queen Delightful relies on The 7D - Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Dopey, Grumpy and Doc - to keep the kingdom in order.
Standing in their way are two laughably evil villians, Grim and Hildy Gloom, who plot to take over the kingdom by stealing the magical jewels in the 7D's mine.
With seven very distinct personalities, the 7D always manage to save the day and send Grim and Hildy running back to their evil lair to try another day.
The stellar voice cast includes Kelly Osbourne as Hildy Gloom, Emmy-nominated Jess Harnell (Disney's Junior's Sofia the First and Doc McStuffins) as Grim Gloom, Jay Leno and Whoopi Goldberg in the recurring roles of Crystal Ball and Magic Mirror respectively.
We had a great time at the preview and really enjoyed the screening of The 7D.
Sean's eyes were practically glued to the screen the entire time we were there. Can't wait to watch it at home!
I thought the characters were hilarious and the script very witty and well-written. I guess I shouldn't expect anything less from good ol' Disney!
The 7D will premiere on September 7 at 11am on Disney Channel (Starhub Ch 312, Singtel mio TV Ch 234. Don't miss it!
