I have really great news to share: I won the 2nd prize in the Greek Poetry Contest, organized by the Greek Cultural Movement of South Africa!

http://olga-1821.livejournal.com/41464.html). Actually, no one ever did, but never mind ;) I know you were with me in spirit! ;)
Being a winner, I had to read my poem aloud on the Greek Poetry Evening, which took place in Johannesburg. Quite a frightening experience - and very exciting, too! It surprized me, however, that I was the only one of the winners to read my piece by heart - the others read their poems from some scrapes of paper. But maybe this is because the other winners are so much older than me - the one about 50, the other about 60 - and their memory is not as good as it used to be ;)
