flabbergasted, blown away, etc.
it's amazing what comes with the ipod. A-MAZ-ING. i'm just so amazed. it plays videos, plays photo slideshows with accompanying music (hearing "chariots of fire" during a slideshow of our trip to dave barnes was hilarious), holds tons of songs, and can have my firstborn child/breastfeed it so i don't have to. and it composts food, drives me places, and does my homework in 10.4 seconds. really, everyone should get one of these bad boys.
i sort of feel weird about my connection to this thing. not since barbie have i felt such an affinity to this lump of plastic and technology. it's not a human, it's a toy. i must keep that in mind. but it's oh so hard when your toy keeps you company more than humans. let's ponder that for a moment. .......... okay i'm done.
i put the thing on shuffle, so it's randomly picking songs out of the 3085 i have on itunes. it's freakin sweet. i was walking to art class on wednesday morning, in the bitter cold, and out of nowhere comes this song "lua" by bright eyes. for some reason, it just hit me at that moment. for whomever reads this...check it out. my favorite part:

brilliance. i don't know, but lately i feel like this. in my own mind. because i'm surrounded most of the time by tons of animated people so it's weird i would feel this way. it could be the time of year, and my current environment...but considerations to outside folks prevent me from expanding on this.
good things:
1. christmas fest is SATURDAY!! i love it. and i hear they're singing "stay with us" right before "beautiful savior", which is my favorite song, besides the latter.
2. christmas at st. olaf is so magical. i know, CORNY...but IT IS!!
3. matt wertz "o holy night"...
4. falafel
5. wet work in ceramics is OVER......YESSSS.
6. when i pass people and they say "hi maggie"...not just "hi", but with my name attached. it's small, but redeeming. i'm going to start doing that more.
