wow so this is the earliest i've seen saturday in...like, a week. okay, only because last week we had to get up at the buttcrack of dawn (8:30) to go watch the bloodbath (st. john/st. olaf football game) but maybe it's nice seeing saturday this early. i HATE early mornings, but there's a nice light quality that you only find in morning.
my brain isn't quite functioning yet. i'm really just killing time. i'm STARVING. xtine is shoe shopping online.
funny thing is, lately i get going on the journaling when something has really gotten to me. for the past month or so it's been very negative. and really, that's not me. so i'm trying to break out of that. the past week or so went swimmingly. i've found it helps just to let things go...stop thinking so damn much about stuff...and it helps that my roomie is in here to distract me from stuff that bounces around in my brains. also to distract me in general...she seriously is so hilarious. i had a friend of mine, who is the daughter of a co-worker from home, visit for thurs and fri night. she's 15. she definitely got to expereince the colorful characters here...all my friends, including christine and liv at their finest...kevin, pete williams, miriam...and amcon, which was so great. we're talking about women's rights back in the 20s, concerning birth control and abortion. some of it was a little graphic, i wanted to cover her ears. but she did really well!! yay.
our son kevin scored the tie-making goal last night in the hockey game. he's done me and his father, christine, proud. we were happy and honored that he came and played afterwards.
our room is clean. for the first time in awhile. although the fridge is still growing things and we have milk in there from fall break. this is called "extreme dorm life." hahaha.
xtine is breaking into the peanut butter with her fingers. this is the signal that it's time to bust out to the caf.
