In Idaho, I stayed with Laurel and Mike. Here's Laurel behind Lyle Keeney's 308 rifle. She made several 400-yard hits with it. I tried it also: nice rifle and optic!

Home-baked banana bread
After the Boomershoot on Sunday, I realized that I had not eaten much since that morning. Neither Lyle nor I brought any food. The range was quite remote, so no prospect of reprieve from hunger was in sight...when suddenly a girl ran up and thrust a paper bag into my hands.
"This is for you," she said and run off.
