2012 Retrospective
1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Got my driver's license, had money stolen from me and filed a claim to get it back, clinical skills like blood draws and pelvic exams, almost failed a course, tried LSD and shrooms, had a serious and happy relationship with staying power, got an IUD (OW), spent some of the Christmas holidays with a partner's family, went on a road trip by myself, had Russian high tea, bought a designer dress, Magnetic Fields concert, became a vegetarian, tumblr.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions and will you make more for next year?
I think I certainly acted out of character this year. My new resolution is to write my friend Ryan a letter a month for the whole year.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, my step-sister Andrea had TWINS.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes, my friend Justin died. I miss you so much buddy.
5. What countries [regions] did you visit?
Went to New York with my mother to celebrate our birthdays.
6. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?
Peace from dinks. Although I know I have to wait a bit longer to be free of one of them.
7. What dates from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory and why?
February 10-15 because the love of my goddamn life and I finally sorted our shit out YAY
not sure what other important dates there were this year, because I'm shit at remembering dates. My birthday was faboo - as usual.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting through the academic portion of the MEP - and getting my driving sorted out for it.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Pharmacotherapy, no question.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Had a pretty horrific cold near the end of the year. Otherwise nothing exciting.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
The usual pile of books. My Valentino dress. Civ V.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My family, my besties Kate, Katy, Kristen and Sarah. All my midwifery friends. Artem (<3).
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
My ex-boyfriend continued his dink spree! As did my ex-landlord. woo and stuff.
14. Where did most of your money go?
STOLEN. But also school, living expenses and books.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Mushy stuff. Doing awesome drugs. Getting through the academic stuff. Christmas. LES MISERABLES

Christmas was an Ottawa extravaganza complete with a great sleepover at Sandy, Aidan and Lynn's. New Year's was lame since I was tired after staying up all night before on drugs. So I slept til midnight, woke up, kissed my man and passed out.
21. Did you fall in love in 2012?
Yes, oh yes.

None.
23. What were your favorite TV programs?
Once, Parks and Recreation, Avatar the Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, Game of Thrones
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Yes.

Les Miserables.

Mumford & Sons.

mushhhhy stuff, happiness, grounded-ness

Good grades. My own fault.

Les Miserables. But Skyfall was also super awesome, as was the Avengers.

25, had a wonderful cottage party with my awesome friends and my awesome boyfriend and lots of drugs and booze. We played an amazing pokemon drinking game.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If Artem could have come to visit me in Toronto.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
Sweaters. All about the sweaters.
33. What kept you sane?
My friends and family, baths, books, sex.

Garett Hedlund.

Ashley. Artem a lot. My family. Katy. I missed living with Kate a lot, and I missed Kristen a lot too.
