Bureaucratic butts
OK, I did the efile of my taxes two days ago. Yet I am still waiting for the Oklahoma Tax Commission to get off their collective bureaucratic butts and approve my tax return. The feds at least managed to do it in only an hour and a half. If they don't get around to it fairly soon, I guess I will have to print out the state tax return and mail it in instead, as I don't want to have to pay a penalty because they couldn't get off their lazy asses and approve the filing in a timely manner. I suppose if I do that it will probably blow their collect brain cells of 32 when they end up with two returns for me. Perhaps I should add a note to the return stating that due to the bureaucratic inertia, this is a duplicate of an electronic filing. That way they won't try and screw me out of interest and penalties on the rollicking $297 that I need to pay in addition to what they already had reamed from me over the previous year.
