An update to my last update
I forgot to mention in my post yesterday, that my wife's friend Shirley (Roland's wife who broke his neck in a car wreck) went back to the hospital while we were returning from Lost Wages. Apparently, she was not really ready to come home after the double mastectomy. She passed out at home and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. Not 100% sure of the cause, but she is still in the hospital after having dangerously low blood pressure. She also was anemic and had to have a couple of bags of blood. Another bizarre twist to all of this was that she was given morphine for pain even though her chart clearly shows that she is allergic to morphine!
After a couple of more attempts to contact my boss about the position that I was supposed to find out about at the end of January, I finally got another email from him telling me that he is on vacation and that I should call him some time after next Monday. So I guess that means I will have to call him from the boat after crew change. Oh well, at least that will save me some money on my mobile phone bill.
