teleconferences
Why is it that every time we have a scheduled teleconference, it has to last at least half an hour longer than scheduled? It was not all that long ago that the Double SOB backwards changed the "scheduled" length from an hour to an hour and a half. So of course this morning's teleconference was a 2 hour affair of which I will not get that time of my life back!
At the end of the teleconference, it was also mentioned that our "regularly scheduled every 5 weeks" teleconference will be on 14 December. Lucky me, if I do manage to dial into that one, it will be because I managed to get from the Rio airport to the hotel in time to make the call. It will be cutting it close, but might be doable. Though to be honest, I would prefer having the excuse to not call in! Oh well, being the good dedicated employee that I am, I will probably try to participate if the travel arrangements allow it. Of course the next day, I will be in the Rio office for the mid-project review video conference, so I guess I could find out about anything I might miss. (That also presupposes that the mid-project review doesn't get changed again. Though I rather doubt that it will with all of changes in my travel schedule of late, I think they may actually want to get this thing done!
Otherwise, not a whole lot going on to post about, just getting ready for my 32 anniversary celebration and all of the various family Thanksgiving feasts to come later this week. Of course with Debra working retail, she gets the joy of having to go to work at 4:00 a.m. on Black Friday, so we are not happy campers about that!
