its such a problem. at my new work i met a guy who's completely against the war but has had dreams to go to asu since he was young and the only way he could pay for it was to join the air force. he was in baghdad in 2002 for awhile and kuwait more recently. the even sadder part is that now he's done and he's in his first year at asu the money won't cover the rest of the three years so he has to go to community.

i wish military spending was put where it belonged; in the hands of veterans and as armor on the backs of our soldiers. instead we recruit people who don't even believe in the cause, break them down, and throw them away or into rat infested hospitals in dc when we're done with them.

war is pathetic. we're supposed to be more evolved than our chimps ancestors and yet we can't stop fighting.
