This weekend is the first weekend of October, which means it's time for the annual MCAS Miramar airshow. The Navy Blue Angels demonstration team has already arrived and has been flying around in formation mapping landmarks to use during their performances.
Being the heavily addicted flight-simmer that I am, I am always on the lookout for new and different things to try in virtual flight. Imagine my amazement when I learned there was a virtual Blue Angels team. They use a combat flight sim called
Lock On and a group of networked computers with very realistic cockpit setups.
One thing about simulators is they afford a point of view that you can't get in reality. A few years ago they made a video that really proves this...
