So I needed to take the babies back to the vet to make sure the ear mites were gone from Moron's ears and find out why dipshit is so stinky (front and back end). Then I was emptying the litter box one morning and discovered that Moron had blood in his stool, very bright red blood. I collected the sample (UGGGH...) and baggied it to bring to the vet and called to set an appt right away.
Well they had a spot at 9AM so I set about catching Moron. He wasn't having any of that. Scrambled away and scratched up my foot (didn't really bleed, but hasn't healed at all). So I tried to lure him with string, he wasn't having any of that either, though it is his favorite thing. Couldn't get him into the music room to trap him. So I had to call and reschedule. I set the appt for 330 in the afternoon hoping that he would forget that I "attacked" him in the morning. Spike thought he could leave early from the office and I didn't see me having a problem, so we drove in together. Turned out that Spike had a meeting at 3 that he had forgotten. So I called again and rescheduled for 9 the next morning. I had to trick Moron into going into the music room, then close the door and then grab him. Poor baby was crying quite loudly. I felt so sad for him. He put up a good struggle in the case...made it roll around all over, while I tried to get Dipshit in one.
We got there and they didn't find anything. No ear mites and nothing in his poo. Probably he just ate something he shouldn't have and it irritated on the way out.
Dipshit was supposed to get her allergy shot while we were there, her stinky comes from gingervitis. The vet thought she might have FIV or Feline AIDS. She doesn't, thank goodness. So we went back last Saturday for her allergy shot and we have switched to a Oral Health Cat food. They don't like it that much. I don't blame them. Doesn't smell that good and the bits are about the size of kibble for a medium weight dog, like 4 times the size of the ones that they were getting. I opened the food holder to throw the extra old stuff away because there wasn't that much left and Moron couldn't wait to get into the container and eat that. He knocked the whole thing over. I am just happy they are eating the other anyway. I didn't find any other oral health food at the stores around here. Dipshit's breath and poo smells a lot better. I will look for tastier food I guess or at least maybe smaller.
Now she has a cold or something because she has sneezed about 40 times since we got home 4 hours ago. Plus she has no energy. Poor baby. She has her blanket, fuzzy mousy and the snuggle puppy with a heart beat and a warming pad. She looks pretty content sleeping over there.
