I have been "cleaning" today, except I can almost never bear to throw away any scrap of paper ever. I probably should become a scrapbooker so at least it's all organized, or else I will become like my packrat neighbors who are 90 years old and never invite people into their house because there is literally nowhere to sit. Every single surface is under piles and piles of paper.
The fun thing about never throwing anything away is that it's always a huge nostalgia trip to find things again. So far today I've found:
1. the original bob (flying cow/butterfly/glitter and construction paper creation/founding member of the zoo, a mental menagerie watched over by the crazy israeli)
2. a letter I wrote to my mother from girl scout camp and never sent. Apparently a girl in my group had pneumonia in her left lung, another one found a snake in her sleeping bag, everyone was homesick to the point I was worried my best friend would have to go home, and our counselor was really mean.
3. a comic strip I "drew" when I was about 9 (I was never a very good artist) where OJ Simpson married Tonya Harding.
4. my spiral notebook from my first year at SIG, with all of the notes I ever took, and random drawings I did of my friends.
This is fun. :)
