This weekend Joe'l and I visited my mom and pulled her dock out of the water ( with her knowledge and permission, of course). Then we ate (just the two of us) at Joe'l's favorite resteraunt: Herman's European cafe' in Cadillac.
It was marvelous.
We decided to try getting away for that about once a month.
The Detroit Lions got beat by Washington on Sunday. The Lions have NEVER beaten the Redskins in Washington. That's 0 for 21 for those keeping score at home. Amazing. The last time the Lions beat the Redskins (not in Detroit) they were playing in Boston... in 1935!!
It is not supposed to be 90 in Michigan in October! It was all weekend, though.
By Wednesday the predicted high will be 53. That's Michigan for you.
Sunday I was the emcee for the morning church service. It was alittle hectic but everything turned out well. I'm the preacher for this week. I should go polish my message.
