I didn't love Kara's single ...

... but DAMNED if I'm not a slobbering mess after Adam's performance on the AI final show tonight!

Blah blah Kara-cakes about mountains and hurricanes and shit, but: "No Boundaries" - written for Adam?  YEAH, BABY!  THAT'S what I'm talking 'bout.

Now maybe everybody can stop playing the "is he or isn't he?" game, and accept this fact - in 2009, Adam Lambert is a performer who is completely original, and true to himself.  No boundaries, indeed ... I'm a cliched fangirl at the moment, but I am PROUD my two (sensitive, non-athletic, very musical) beautiful sons are going to grow up in a country where Adam is:

* a sex symbol,
* a rock star,
* a world-class performer and;

a man who will [hopefully] continue to be judged on WHO he is and WHAT he can do, not "what he may be" or who he may love.

I'm so in love with both finalists at this moment, and I cannot believe that American Idol just restored a bit of my faith in the future of our society.

"A Change Is A-Comin' ", indeed.

music, happiness, revelation, society expectations
