Received a job offer and a sold a story on the same day. I will be starting the job sometime in August (we're still hammering out specifics) and will be receiving free housing (major bonus.) The story formerly known by its codename, "Meeblymeep," now has a real name: "The Artificial Sunlight of Memory." With draft six, I just renamed the goddamned filename. It's now free of numbers, which makes me feel better somehow. I have one print-out and final check to do, and it'll be ready to go ( Read more... )

I didn't manage to complete another story last week, but "MeeblyMeep" is shaping up well. I did the obligatory print-out yesterday. As usual, I discovered all sorts of things that needed to be changed that otherwise manage to camouflage themselves on the LCD.
