So, I and four other students went to this Scholastic Scrimmage thing today where you go and it's like a game show type deal except kind of lame. And we got bumped out in the first round, but it was really close and fun. Sad face. That's not the emo part; I could really care less. The point is, I found out my District results while we were at the food court in the mall (BECAUSE WE TOTALLY WENT STRAIGHT BACK TO SCHOOL ONCE WE WERE kNOCKED OUT, UH.) (A teacher was with us, it was okay). I went to call my mom, and it went something like this:
Me: Hey mom! We're in the food court of the mall right now. We lost our first round, so we're coming back to school when we get done eating here--
Mom: Oh, you lost?
Me: Yeah, but listen I have something to--
'
Mom: DId you screw up?
Everyone at table: *leaning in becasue they know I'm beyond excited and I want to tell my mom about districts*
Me: ...*sarcasm* Yeah, Mom, I screwed up.
EaT: *recoils, looks shocked*
Mom: *more drivelous questions about SS, me trying to break in throughout*
Me: --Mom, I got my Districts results!
Mom: Oh! How'd you do?
Me: MOM I TIED FOR FIRST PLACE.
Mom: Oh, awesome! So, anyway, how many questions did you answer?
...Yeah.
