As a recent veteran of the academic job search wars, I still get e-mail alerts from the Chronicle of Higher Education on new job openings.  I continue to get them not because I'm looking for a job -- I like my job and I certainly don't want to move again -- but because I'm too lazy to turn off the alerts.  And, as I found out today, because they can be inadvertantly hilarious.

Turns out there's a place in Arizona looking for an "Artificial Life Faculty Member".

I think it's safe to say that most -- if not all -- faculty members have artificial lives.
