Comments:
I've always wanted to watch this show as I know how the storyline goes. An idol who had to keep his marriage under wraps because he was afraid of losing his fans. Also, he had 2 sides to him - super cool idol and the dorkiest-ever geek. You may wonder how that's ever possible with the tall, dark and handsome Nagase Tomoya, but believe me, HE made it happen.
I enjoyed this series because it's different, yet surreal. Every episode I've watched made me wonder if this is the life Kimura Takuya is living. Sakuraba Yuiichiro was super duper cool that nothing fazes him (his expressions kinda remind me of KimuTaku), which is impossible because everyone has a weak spot. Plus, the theme song is really catchy. Sakai Noriko stars as the wife. Even though she isn't that young anymore, she manages to pull it off, albeit it being too sweet at times. I love the aloof sister-in-law played by Shinohara Ryoko. I think she's hontoni kirei, long haired and all. Just like the hontoni kakkoii long-haired violinist in Nodame Cantabile (Mizukawa Asami).
Each episode has a problem to be solved, usually involving one of the family members/colleagues. Pretty predicatable, but what made it endearingly fun was Nagase's acting of the dual roles. I love the part where Sakuraba Yuichiro was interviewed for a variety show hosted by 3 single ladies. Totally hilarious. The song was also very catchy - "Omae Yanai to Akan Nen" by Sakuraba Yuichiro himself. Can't wait to watch the first version of this show.
3 stars coz it contained some funny bits that I enjoyed, even though the storyline is predictable.
