Alle Gefangenen waren bereits von einer Massenpsychose durchdrungen, die sich seinerzeit dadurch äusserte, dass diese ganze Masse einer  Herde von Hammeln ähnelte.

Die aktuelle ZEIT hat jetzt auch einen Artikel über Detroit.
Diesmal wird wieder das Künstleridyll in den Vordergrund gestellt, wie es scheint.
Mit der Art, wie Leserbeiträge gehandhabt werden kann man aber nicht so richtig glücklich werden. Moderation ist eben heikel.
Ich beobachte weiter ;)

I don't want to become this a weird Detroit mourning blog or something and the 16 today's Guardian photos by Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre don't show anything that hasn't been shown or discribed elsewhere already.
But you can look at them anyway, they don't harm. ;)

Here's another Detroit = Armageddon article worth reading, every one of it's six very saddening pages:

"The city reached a peak population of 1.9 million people in the 1950s, and it was 83 percent white. Now Detroit has fewer than 800,000 people, is 83 percent black…"
