It's like not a day goes by without some sort of construction or loud noises in my apartment building. One day they're installing carpet everywhere, the next the water doesn't work and there are jackhammers in the street all day. There are always doors slamming, doors left open, and shady people wandering into the hallway. Not to mention, if you so much as whisper something on my block, I will hear you! There is NO soundproofing in my room. All night long I hear parties, people screaming, horns honking, and this one guy who always paces outside my window at 2 AM on his cellphone.
I've been looking for another apartment to move into when my lease is up in June/July. Two bedrooms for $900-1200/month. In a safe(r) place, not too far from classes. This doesn't sound so hard, but I haven't found many ideas yet.
