hello, new year

A party with old friends, a visit from older friends, fireworks, and champagne for new years eve. 2005 was a complete blur, with a trip to England and Scotland thrown in the middle. I found a new relationship, started a new band, got my first apartment, brought home a bunny. I gradually stopped hanging out with most of my friends from freshman/sophomore year, for various reasons. This will sound dumb, but out of everything, I am most proud of how I did in my Anthropology class. That's because I set a goal for myself and completely followed through--I showed up for that class on time every day, worked as hard as I could, always participated in class (the hardest part for me), and even got a 100 on my exam. I knew I could do it, and I fucking did. Suddenly, I was thinking of grad school and all the opportunities outside of the music industry for me. I don't know if that's good or bad.

The band is supposed to record this weekend, and I'm very excited to hear how everything will turn out. Then it's back to school, which I'm looking forward to less than I expected.

Unfortunately, my biggest mistake has been not making more real friends, especially girl ones. I'm having a relationship problem now, and I literally have no one to talk to about it. 2005 was a year of stability, so I'm not too sure what will happen now....
