manipulation tutorial

Make a manipulation:




I logged onto the internet, grabbed two pictures that looked well together, of Jake Gyllenhaal and Keira Knightley (two celebs that should go out)
I used these two photos:
Keira
Jake

Put both photos next to each other and correct the coloring, using curves, color balance, or variations. whichever. like this:

I was looking at their skin tones and trying to match them up, to make it look normal (dont worry about the background)

Now take the polygonal lasso tool and select keira (or whoever your using) then right click it once selected and feather it on 7, then drag it to the jake photo

Then erase the edges, with a 28px soft brush on 100%
If its at a small corner, leave it, then later on go over it with a smaller brush.
Then sharpen the edges.

Since I had kirsten in the back, I erased her using the copy tool and copying the whole background behind keira and kirsten. Then I resized it.

Good now we have this

Then I went to curves to fix the color a bit, and make it look a bit more real.

Then I sharpened the whole photo in general.

and your done, if it still doesnt look good, make it b&w =P
