I've recently heard that some people believe that Jesus gave up or sacrificed the glory He'd had before He became incarnate but this is not the case. God gains glory in whatever He does and when the Logos became flesh it was not that He or His Son was losing anything but gaining glory in mankind in new ways and with everything in new ways since then there came to be a conduit by which the glory of men and all that's under them and the glory of God converge. Jesus did not lose anything but made everything new including death since now we have the promise and assurance of our hopes of eternity by the perfection of His flesh in the resurrection. If anything Jesus did sacrifice much in order to relate with us and to teach us how to relate with God but through it all He became greater than ever before because He was the Son of Man as well as eternally being the Son of God. He makes all things new and since He is the glory of God as well as all who fall into Him both He and God gained at every step of the way even though it cost both everything, it cost them the constant connection they always had and a deep separation in all that Jesus was and resultantly everything connected with the Father from Christ when He was deserted and tasted the fullness of all pain and death.
Anyway, I'm doing well just staying with my folks and working on construction things, nothing really to report except my best wishes for Christmas. Eat well but try not to get bloated :).
