Ok, was it just me, or was there a majorly brief yet oh so good limp!Sam scene in this ep? So, where is the fic? I know there are issues this season with retconning of history and the ongoing adjustments for brother conflict and big bad season arcs, but it all disappeared for me when Sam started turning colors and hurried back to Dean and ( Read more... )

Yep, it lives! And thanks for the birthday wishes. It was a fun weekend.

As for fic, yeah, I've been lurking and reading. What with everything in RL, though, I just don't have a lot of time to post to LJ. :-( I do read the newsletter, though, and like the recommendations, but right now, I've been going through past fics looking for old necromancer-related faves as, like I said above, I want more hurt!Sam by necromancer fics.

The following aren't Nazi necromancer stories, as they were written years ago, but these are some long-standing favorites of mine (and two of them are parts of fic series, though they can work as stand-alones, so there's even more to read). They don't really hit that 8.13 craving I've got, but they help. :-)

RaBB verse: Slamming Through, I Need You by authoressnebula
Summary: After "Sin City", Sam has a vision. They're not the usual visions, though, and they're just getting worse. Spoilers up to 3x06. Limp!Sam, bigbrother!Dean, awesome!Bobby.

Puppetmaster by Scullspeare
Summary: As Sam recovers from knee surgery, he's hit with violent visions that will, ultimately, put both Winchester brothers' lives in jeopardy.

What's Dead Should Stay Dead by TraSan
Summary: When bodies start disappearing in Flatt Plains, Iowa, Sam and Dean search for the truth. After Sam is injured, Dean is faced with a difficult choice. Stay to protect his brother or save an entire town from an ambitious Necromancer.

We'd love to have you as a guest reccer in our March issue! Would you be willing to fill out the rec templates at the theme posts for these sometime in the next week? Then I'll use that info (including what you enter for why you rec them) and wordsmith that into the newsletter draft.

Hope you say yes!
